Demo Day 3: A Milestone for Entrepreneurship in Aden
Last Saturday, Aden hosted Demo Day 3, part of the Sandbox Business Incubator – Cohort 5, bringing together young entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters in a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and ambition.
Out of 20 startup projects that began the journey, 10 projects were showcased before a distinguished judging panel and the audience. At the end of the event, 3 winning projects stood out and received financial support to advance further toward success.
The judging panel featured key figures in investment and entrepreneurship:
Hiyam Younes Ahmed – Director of Investment Projects at the Investment Authority.
Mohammed Ismail Hamnah – Businessman and former Director of Aden Business Club.
Zakaria Al-Humairi – Trainer and Consultant in Entrepreneurship.
More than just a competition, the event served as a genuine platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and opening new opportunities for young entrepreneurs in Aden.
The Sandbox Business Incubator – Cohort 5 is implemented by Medalah Foundation, supported by the European Union through CARE International, and in partnership with the Building Foundation for Development (BFD).
