Medalah Foundation Participates in Developing the National Strategy for Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises
Aden - Medalah Foundation for Development, represented by its General Manager, Mr. Muad Shibani, participated in the workshop focused on updating the national strategy for small, medium, and micro enterprises, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the interim capital, Aden. The workshop is part of national efforts to enhance the role of small enterprises in economic and social development.
During his participation, Medalah emphasized the importance of adopting a participatory approach involving all relevant stakeholders to enable small enterprises to keep pace with economic developments and strengthen their role in creating job opportunities and achieving sustainability. also highlighted the need to provide a supportive environment for innovation and partnerships between the public and private sectors and civil society.
The workshop focused on updating the national strategy by analyzing the current situation of the small enterprise sector, identifying gaps and needs to develop policies, and fostering integration among relevant entities. The recommendations included adopting an effective partnership model between the government, the private sector, and civil society to formulate a comprehensive implementation plan that aligns with sustainable development goals.
