"Women and Climate" Seminar Highlights Climate Justice and the Role of Yemeni Women
As part of its ongoing efforts, Mazala Foundation organized the first seminar in the "Women and Climate" series, titled "Women and Climate Justice", featuring leading voices in the field.
The seminar was presented by Ms. Khairiya Al-Baydani, Executive Secretary of the Climate Change Unit at the Ministry of Water, and Ms. Balqees Al-Abdali, President of the Horizons for Change Forum, and a researcher and consultant in women, peace, and climate change.
Bashar Nabil, an environmental activist and trainer in governance and climate change, moderated the session.
The seminar addressed the impact of climate change on Yemeni women and emphasized the importance of empowering women in climate decision-making processes as a key step toward achieving justice and equality.
The event witnessed diverse participation from various disciplines, enriching the discussion with a range of perspectives and insights.
